Budding photographers, musicians and filmmakers are invited to enter “Coop’Art-Express Yourself,” a worldwide contest organized by the International Cooperative Alliance as part of its broader mission to promote the International Year of Cooperatives.
To enter, you must be between the ages of 16 and 35. The deadline for submissions—photographs, video segments or musical compositions—is May 31. Entries must illustrate the benefits of co-ops, particularly to young people.
A five-person jury will judge entries. Those making the “shortlist” will be submitted to an online public vote. The winners in each category will be the three projects with the largest number of votes.
First prize winners in each of the three categories will win $3,000 and a trip to Manchester, England, in November; second place finishers will each win $1,500; and a tablet personal computer will go to third prize winners.
